Our music teachers — an exceptional team
First and foremost, we want to introduce you to our music teachers. The strength of our teaching team lies in the diversity of musical styles and practices that each of its members brings to the table.
Our teachers perform on stage both in Switzerland and abroad, playing in ensembles spanning bluegrass, folk, gypsy jazz, funk, classical, electronic music, Latin music, and more.
Above all, they share a passion for passing on the joy of playing an instrument or using one’s voice every day. Drawing on their stage experience, our teachers guide their students along the demanding and enchanting path of music.
Teaching music
Our music teachers share a common vision of teaching, fully aligned with our school’s educational philosophy. As a result, they bring together solid experience in pedagogy, public performance, and music production.
We hire our teachers based on a range of criteria. We choose them not only for their musical talent and teaching skills, but also for their personality — we look for people who stand out for their kindness, warmth, and empathy.
Our music school firmly believes in the importance of a human and nurturing teaching relationship within lessons. In our experience, students progress significantly faster and more concretely when they feel comfortable and supported. This is something we consider essential for any young musician to truly thrive and learn.
Teachers or coaches?
Partners to their students, our teachers also act as coaches. This dynamic is a core element of Gimmemusic School’s original teaching approach, the 360 method.
More specifically, each student sets their own goals together with their teacher, based on their tastes and aspirations — always with the joy of playing in mind.
In our view, this approach motivates students in their instrumental practice and drives their desire to progress.
