VIOLIN

A violin lesson at our music school?

First of all, it is helpful to understand how a violin lesson at Gimmemusic School differs from a “traditional” violin lesson. Learning the violin offers many opportunities to have fun with this unique instrument. This small, four-stringed piece of wood produces a very distinctive sound, usually achieved with a bow. However, it can also be played with just the fingers, like a guitar.

Our teaching method employs the rigor inherent in playing this instrument, but departs from the academic approach of the Conservatory. We offer students the pleasure of playing the pieces they love and that move them. Through this freedom, possibilities become endless and motivation is heightened, thus leading to rapid progress on the instrument.

Playing what you love in a violin lesson?

Indeed, what’s truly surprising about individual violin lessons at our school is the ability to choose what you play, according to your musical tastes. Playing music that evokes emotions in you during an individual violin lesson enhances the pleasure of playing, and helps with motivation.

Amazingly, the sound of the violin exists in virtually every musical genre. In classical music, of course, but also in traditional music like Celtic music. We even find it in contemporary styles, such as electronic music and pop.

An original method based on the pleasure of playing?

Musical skills are developed during individual lessons using innovative tools designed by our violin teacher, who also teaches solfège, interpretation, musicality, rhythm, and improvisation.

The original teaching method of our music school, the 360 method, provides complete instrumental practice and helps learning by maintaining motivation.

Whether you are a composer, performer or a music group, amateur or at the beginning of your career, you need an outside ear and the support of a professional coach to help you strengthen your artistic identity. We advise you on aspects such as musical arrangement, sound design, production quality, lyrics, and stage performance.
