GIMMEliveMUSIC
Our association, GIMMEliveMUSIC, was created in early 2023 by music professionals, with the aim of giving young musicians in training the opportunity to experience performing on stage.
Our initiative stems from a simple observation: students in training, whether from private schools or conservatories, have few, if any, opportunities to perform on a professional stage and engage with an audience. Indeed, most music schools only offer end-of-year recitals, which allow students to perform a piece they have practiced during their individual lessons. Consequently, these aspiring musicians, children or adults, wait many years before hoping to one day be part of a show, whether in a concert hall or at a festival.
More than a simple recital
Our concert concept goes far beyond a simple recital. We offer aspiring musicians the opportunity to participate in a musical show, built around a specific theme. Furthermore, participants will discover all aspects of concert organization.
Our association has decided to initially involve students enrolled at Gimmemusic School. Our school is located in the artistic center Les Ateliers de la Côte in Etoy, in the canton of Vaud. Our goal for the future is to open this concert concept to other music schools in the canton of Vaud.
Our vision
We aim to create bridges that allow musicians in training to live the experience of performing live. Regardless of their level, we offer them the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of live music.
Furthermore, we wish to welcome several schools from the canton of Vaud that support our concept into our association. Indeed, the arrival of new schools will likely encourage the formation of musical groups among students.
Our values
For us, music is an important source of well-being. We believe in its power to foster social cohesion and unity among individuals, regardless of gender, age, nationality, or religious affiliation. Music is a universal playground where everyone can express themselves freely and share their creativity, with respect towards others.
Mission
Our mission is to organize themed concerts in which students can experience playing on stage. To offer our public a show of professional quality, the preparation for our concerts is led by music teachers active in the Swiss music scene.

Our concert concept
The starting point of our concert concept is the theme. This serves as the main thread throughout the concert, and allows us to tell a story.
Participants are guided and coached by their teachers until the day of the concert and will rehearse individually and in groups.
The general rehearsal takes place in the concert hall one month before the event. Everything is rehearsed, from the staging to the sound and lighting setup.
