Our piano and rare instruments teacher
First of all, Sylvain Jacobeus is a true one-man band, passionate about ancient instruments.
Moreover, after his studies at the Lausanne Conservatory and at the School of Contemporary Music (EJMA), he travelled the world, attracted by the sounds and the mix of musical genres of various countries. He returned to Switzerland, carrying a dobro, dulcimer, Indian sitar, handpan, udu, gopichand and a steel drum.
Helped by these experiences, in our school, Sylvain shares with us his palette of music rich in color and history.
Piano teacher and specialist in early music education for young children
In addition to piano and rare instrument lessons, Sylvain leads our musical awakening workshop, inviting children to join him on an exploratory journey of discovering instrumental sounds and various songs. It’s a unique experience for parents and their little ones to share, immersing themselves together in the fascinating world of sound.

Rare instruments…
Sylvain teaches not only the banjo, but also the mandolin and harmonica. Upon request, he will gladly introduce you to instruments rarely taught in our region.
Furthermore, he has performed extensively on stage with Celtic rock and bluegrass bands (Galloway, Sylvester Jacobs, etc.). Indeed, like a globetrotter, Sylvain has crisscrossed the world to experience street music.
