Singing lessons at Gimmemusic School

First of all, a singing lesson in our school is more than just practicing vocal exercises or trying to copy your favorite singer.

Indeed, our singing teacher makes a huge effort to ensure that her student receives not only basic instructions, including breathing techniques, posture, and breath control, but also gains access to music theory, learns to accompany themselves on the piano, and uses voice recordings to improve.

Musical identity

A singer has their own universe, their unique vocal identity. This is the reason why our vocal coach professionally guides the student in their quest of finding this vocal identity. Indeed, this is a fundamental aspect of our school’s vision of a caring, human approach to music education. Consequently, our singing students develop their personality, their unique style, and their sensitivity with the support of their coach, while exploring different musical genres.
 

The voice as an instrument!

Not only is vocal technique emphasized during our singing lessons, but also the musical concepts inherent to any musician’s practice of their instrument, including the voice. Thus, the singing student will have access to a multitude of theoretical and technical resources to help them progress. From music theory to percussion for rhythmic training, the singing student becomes a well-rounded musician.
 

Recording studio

 
Furthermore, our singing lessons are given in a dedicated recording studio. All the necessary technical equipment is available so that the teacher can use recording as a teaching tool to help the student progress. Therefore, it’s not uncommon for you to leave your lesson with a recording, allowing you to practice and improve under optimal conditions.
 

Live experience

 
As part of our 360 method, each student’s personalized project is established after the first lesson with their teacher. The student then participates in and prepares for the various scheduled performances to experience performing live on stage. With the help of their coach, they also choose what they sing according to their musical tastes and skill level, always with the aim of progressing while having fun!
