Gimmemusic School has designed its very own, original method, based on all the methods known by our
teachers, as well as their experimentations. To help accompany the students on their musical journey, our
school distances itself from traditional methods. We put the pleasure of playing at the center of learning!
With the pleasure of playing as the objective above all, the teachers take into account the musical tastes of
their students. Then, a personalized program is put in place together with the student, with a certain
number of objectives in sight.
In order to support the progress of every student, the teacher adapts the course to their pace, with the right
balance of benevolence and rigor required for each individual.

As a matter of fact, all students have access to a multitude of tools in order to help them flourish in their
musical practice and progress at their own pace. Classes take place in studios equipped with audio
sequencers, fast internet connection. Thus, the school has all the modern technological means to aid rapid
progress.
Moreover, recording takes a prominent place in the pedagogical philosophy of our school. It allows the
students to listen to themselves and to help their progress by forging their musical ears. In addition, our
method also emphasizes the importance of playing in a group. This is the reason why teachers regularly
play with their students in order to train this skill.
Similarly, one of the fundamental pillars of our method at Gimmemusic School is of course theory. Our
pedagogical approach emphasizes the acquisition of fundamental notions of music theory. Solfège is
approached in due time, as well as at the right pace for each student, in order to help them master the
elements of this tool essential to practicing instrument.
Another key aspect of our courses at Gimmemusic School is rhythm. All students integrate rhythmic
concepts in a natural way, thanks to exercises proposed by the teachers. This part of our method is indeed
fundamental in order to help students gain precision. For example, students will be able to accompany a
melody at a chosen tempo by practicing rhythm on a drum kit or other percussion instruments.
Our courses indeed take place in recording studios, designed with the aim of optimizing the progress of
our students. Hence recording being one of the key factors in our teaching method. The trial lesson is a
great occasion to familiarize with our equipment.
The students, moreover, play in an environment fully dedicated to their progress. Our studios are equipped
with not only an audio system and amplifiers, but also a wide selection of musical instruments, in order to
offer the best learning conditions to our students. These spaces, dedicated entirely to musical study, also
allow our teachers to use computers and large online databases, in particular for the use of digital music,
scores or music videos.
